Data Analyst / Senior Analyst
The Data Analyst / Senior Analyst will help manage our firm’s data and information technology practices. As a small, but rapidly growing firm, we are looking for someone able to take on a wide variety of tasks and learn our business from the ground up. It is a terrific opportunity to help build the out a data sciences and IT practices of a growing firm.
Responsibilities will include supporting the firm in the execution of its research projects as well as growing the firm’s data practices and our information technology departments. There is significant room for growth in the role across time. A sample list of the specific responsibilities includes, but is not limited, to the following:
Programming online surveys for clients
Script testing surveys
Data quality assurance and control
Managing sample vendor relationships
Auditing vendors for privacy and security compliance
Data analysis
Working with teams to run statistical analyses on data
Developing new survey testing methodologies
Assisting teams in building final deliverables
Data policy management
Assists in the creation and implementation of firmwide data and protection policies
Information Technology
Oversees the needs of staff IT needs including computer, printer and A/V assistance, etc.
Assists with IT onboarding of new staff
Manages company Drive systems
Assists in software selections, pricing, and firmwide implementations
Controls IT network infrastructure
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Highly organized with a keen attention to detail
- Has good time management skills and is capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously
- Possesses strong communication skills and initiative
- Works well independently and with teams
- Highly trustworthy and reliable
- Passionate about data and finding key insights
- Acquainted with IT network infrastructure
- Understanding of GDPR and its implications in Market Research
- 1-2 years of working in a data science field, preferably in market research
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree
- Previous work experience in an office setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Familiarity with SPSS, R, or Q research software
- Statistics courses or professional experience
- Willingness to learn various software as needed and data
As the firm grows, there are many directions that this role may take including specialization in one or more areas of our data team. The position reports to the firm’s Manager of Strategy and Operations.
This full-time position is based in Washington, D.C., and requires no travel. Compensation and benefits are competitive. All candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
