Alex Ivey

Senior Director

Alex is an opinion researcher and corporate advisor with deep experience in U.S. political campaigns.

For over a decade, he has turned data into stories that protect or strengthen clients’ reputations, persuade the public, and deliver concrete wins.

Before Quadrant, Alex worked at Global Strategy Group where his work spanned the corporate strategy, issue advocacy, and campaign practice verticals. While at GSG, his research and advisory informed high-stakes creative campaigns for American tech companies, Democratic messaging in key battlegrounds during 2020 and 2022, and federal reforms of higher education. He co-founded and co-authored GSG’s thought leadership series on the state of the Black electorate.

Prior to that, Alex worked in Brunswick Group’s opinion research and strategy arm, where he advised multinationals on market positioning, message development, and emerging consumer trends. During this time, he was selected for rotation through Beijing and Hong Kong to help western companies and NGOs navigate a period of historic bilateral trade tensions. He led the development of an organizational maturity model that became the basis for the firm’s DEI practice.

Alex began his career as an opposition researcher at House Majority PAC and the DCCC.

Alex earned a bachelor’s degree from Columbia University in Political Science with a concentration in Philosophy. He lives in Washington, DC.
